The Web3 Foundation has launched the inaugural Decentralized Nodes Program, nominating 63 Polkadot nodes and 152 Kusama nodes from 276 applications. The program aims to enhance network security and decentralization, emphasizing technical expertise, node performance, and ecosystem engagement.
Running until March 15, 2025, the initiative promotes validator independence while supporting the Polkadot and Kusama communities. Periodic evaluations will ensure validators transition effectively, fostering a robust, decentralized network foundation.
