Sony Group and Startale have announced the development of Soneium, an Ethereum Layer-2 blockchain through their joint venture, Sony Block Solutions Labs.

Soneium merges Startale’s Web3 expertise with Sony’s experience in entertainment, gaming, finance, and electronics. The platform aims to drive global Web3 adoption by offering a highly customizable and decentralized environment for developers, with applications spanning multiple industries. This collaboration sets a new standard for blockchain technology, empowering innovators and creators worldwide.

Astar Network is aligning its zkEVM with Soneium L2 to strengthen its position in Web3, opening up new growth opportunities and increasing the value of ASTR within the Soneium ecosystem.

2. Frequency blockchain and MeWe surpass 1 million users, setting new standard for decentralized social media

Frequency blockchain and privacy-focused social media platform MeWe have announced that they now serve over one million users on the Frequency chain. This milestone highlights Frequency’s scalability and MeWe’s leadership in Web3 social networking.

By integrating with Frequency’s blockchain, over 500,000 MeWe users now have full ownership of their social graphs, marking a significant step toward user-controlled, decentralized digital identities.

3. Talisman now supports foreign assets on Asset Hub

Talisman now enables the management of foreign Ethereum assets on Polkadot, thanks to Snowbridge integration.

Users can bridge and track popular assets like MYTH, WETH, WBTC, and more directly within the Talisman wallet, enhancing cross-chain asset management on Polkadot.

4. Tanssi expands to Ethereum through a new partnership with Symbiotic

Tanssi Foundation expands its blockchain infrastructure protocol to Ethereum, enabling the rapid launch of decentralized networks, or Actively Validated Services (AVSs), in minutes through a strategic partnership with Symbiotic, a leading restaking protocol. This collaboration simplifies the deployment and management of highly customizable networks, leveraging Ethereum’s shared security. With Tanssi, developers can quickly create decentralized networks, enhancing Ethereum’s ecosystem with new levels of decentralization and customization.

5. Subwallet integrates Turtle.cool with Snowbridge for seamless cross-chain transfers

Subwallet app now features Turtle.cool in its dApps tab under the Bridge category, enhancing mobile wallet functionality for token transfers.

Leveraging Snowbridge and XCMP protocols, Turtle offers frictionless cross-chain transfers between Ethereum and Polkadot, ensuring robust security. As Turtle expands to support more bridges on Polkadot, users can easily specify tokens and destinations, with Turtle managing the entire transfer process.

6. Alchemy Pay integrates Polkadot’s DOT for seamless fiat transactions

DOT, Polkadot’s native token, is now available for easy buying and selling through Alchemy Pay’s On and Off-ramp services.

In addition to supporting DOT, Alchemy Pay platform also facilitates the conversion of USDC and USDT on Polkadot.

This new integration opens up more liquidity and allows users to effortlessly convert DOT to and from fiat currencies using their preferred local payment methods.

7. Phala Network partners with Aligned for enhanced TEE attestation verification

Phala Network has joined forces with Aligned to provide faster and more cost-effective attestation verification services using Phala’s trusted execution environment (TEE) network. This partnership enhances Aligned’s capabilities, expanding from zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs to TEE attestations.
