1. Moonriver has won the 67th parachain auction on Kusama by self-funding
Moonriver secured another parachain slot on Kusama by self-funding 7 000 KSM worth $257k. Moonriver already secured its third parachain auction slot, after winning auctions no. 2 and no. 27 in the past.
Moonriver was at the lead of the auction 94% of the time, so there was no surprise that it took the win.
Moonriver is a canary network of Moonbeam, which is an EVM-compatible parachain on Polkadot. Moonriver is connected to the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) through its integration with the Substrate framework. Substrate provides the infrastructure for building and deploying blockchain applications, including support for the EVM. This enables developers to easily port their existing Ethereum-based applications to Moonriver, leveraging the benefits of the Kusama network, such as interoperability and scalability.
2. HydraDX Omnipool liquidity exceeded 1 mil. USD, HDX listed on Kraken
HydraDX Omnipool, a revolutionary decentralized exchange launched a month ago, has reached a significant milestone. The Omnipool liquidity exceeded 1 mil. USD and now sits on the TVL (total locked value) of ~1,5M USD.
HydraDX recently added WBTC to the Omnipool, so right now, you can swap these kinds of assets:
- HDX — a native token of HydraDX
- DAI — decentralized stablecoin
- DOT — the main token of the Polkadot network
- WETH — bridged ETH via Wormhole bridge
- WBTC — bridged BTC via Wormhole bridge
- LRNA — non-tradable (yet) hub token, through which all trades are routed
HDX, the native token of HydraDX, was last week listed on the Kraken exchange. HDX is now tradable on Kraken in those trading pairs:
- HDX/USD
- HDX/EUR
Kraken is the first CEX, where HDX was listed. Kraken also enabled users to participate in the HydraDX crowdloan, so the listing from Kraken was pretty expected. Let’s see whether other exchanges will continue with listing HDX tokens.
