1. Frequency has won the 33rd parachain auction on Polkadot

Frequency recently won the 33rd auction on the Polkadot network by self-funding 67,5k DOT worth ~$350k.

Frequency enables Web3 social at scale. It’s the first production implementation of the Decentralized Social Networking Protocol (DSNP.org). Frequency is designed so that applications collaborate instead of competing when submitting transactions.

Frequency has four core features:

  • capacity economics to scale without fear of being priced out
  • coinless users and delegation to grow the user base without friction
  • off-chain data broadcasting to maximize the throughput with transparency and openness
  • shared schemas to standardize data interoperability to develop an ecosystem.

3. vGLMR and vMOVR liquid staking is now live on Bifrost Finance

Bifrost recently launched liquid staking of $vGLMR & $vMOVR tokens, which are liquid staking derivatives from Moonbeam and Moonriver parachains. Those are GLMR and MOVR representations on the Bifrost network, thanks to the opening HRMP channels between Bifrost and Moonbeam&Moonriver.

There is actually a 15,53% APY for liquid staking MOVR and 12% APY for GLMR. The reward is added automatically to the value of your vTokens.

After minting vGLMR & vMOVR, Bifrost also brought a farming opportunity for all the farmers. You are able to farm the MOVR/vMOVR LP since November 28th with APY ~56%, so 71,60% together with the 15,53% reward for liquid staking.

You can mint your vTokens in the vStaking section of the Bifrost app.

6. Manta’s Trusted Setup ceremony is ready to take off, join it and help to launch MantaPay

Manta Network is going to launch MantaPay at first on the canary network Calamari by using the Zero Knowledge Proof Trusted Setup ceremony. Anyone can participate in the ceremony itself and help increase the security of the prover keys by contributing randomness and destroying toxic waste. As long as at least one participant from 12k registered for the event is confident and honest, the setup will be trustworthy.

What is a Zero Knowledge Proof (ZKP) trusted setup ceremony? To generate a ZKP, the prover and the verifier need to commit some shared secret and use it to generate public parameters. A trusted setup then generates the prover and verifier keys that are computed and verified.

Zero Knowledge Proofs allow the prover to prove the correctness of a statement to someone else (the verifier) without disclosing any information. Zero Knowledge Proofs are the core of Manta Network’s privacy preservation functionality, which enables privacy for all crypto assets that are present in the Manta Network itself.
