5. XCMv2 audit is completed
XCMv2 has been audited for the second time by Quarkslab and now is ready for deployment on Kusama Network. As Kusama is the canary network for Polkadot, such upgrades are deployed on Kusama first and when successfully tested, then also deployed on Polkadot. The previous audit was completed by SRLabs, the goal of both external audits is to potentially discover any cross-chain security issues or bugs including incorrect lock/unlock or burn/mint on both chains.
XCM (Cross-Consensus Messaging format) enables seamless communication between parachains and Substrate runtime modules (pallets) as well as smart contracts such as bridges. Using XCM facilitates Polkadot and Kusama multichain communication and transfer of data and tokens.
Consider supporting us by the nomination of your tokens to Kusama or Polkadot validator going by the POLKADOTTERS name.
