1. Phala Network won the 13th auction on Polkadot

Phala Network is the winner of the 13th parachain auction on Polkadot with over 610k DOT locked from 1685 contributors of the crowdloan. Bridges among Phala, Khala and also EVM are planned to be launched within the next 3 months.

Phala is a privacy-enhanced permissionless computing protocol, that aims to solve the problem of privacy of smart contracts running on an open blockchain. Here you can check our article about Phala to get deeper into this ambitious project.

2. Liquid staking launched on Parallel Heiko

Liquid staking finally launched on Heiko, the canary network of Parallel Network. Liquid Staking pallet for Heiko means, that users can deposit their KSM tokens to the staking pool and for what they receive liquid sKSM based on the exchange rate.

Parallel also released a new UI for the Heiko Money Market, so just go and stake or borrow your KSM directly on the Heiko interface.

3. Kintsugi enabled the minting of kBTC

Kintsugi is the decentralized Bitcoin bridge to Kusama. Recently Kintsugi enabled the minting of Kusama's representative of BTC called kBTC. To this date, you can use your kBTC on the Moonriver network as xckBTC and use it in DeFi.

Solarbeam enables a new farming pool kBTC/wBTC, so you can use your bridged bitcoin straight away.

4. Acala will integrate with Wormhole

Both Acala and Karura will integrate with Wormhole and allows cross-chain token transfers.

What is a Wormhole? A multi-chain bridge platform, that connects various different blockchains such as Kusama, Polkadot, Ethereum, Solana, Terra, Avalanche, Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, Fantom and Oasis Protocol. All those blockchains will now be bridged to Acala and Karura.

5. Polkadot Dedoded open for voting

Polkadot Decoded is a conference about Polkadot. It will take place between 29th and 30th June 2022. Live conferences are confirmed in Berlin, New York, Mexico City, and Shanghai, but you can access online content via livestreams.

Petr Menšík, the leader of Polkadotters, is (hopefully) going to have his speech about Polkadotters. If you want to support us, please go and vote his talk (and others you might like) from almost 300 submissions from four different locations. Voting ends on the 14th of April.

6. AmsterDOT conference is open for registration

Come and join the conference of Polkadot and Kusama builders. From 20th to 24th of April in Amsterdam, you can visit it and watch various different talks and also join the hackathon at the AmsterDOT conference.
