1. 1 billion locked in Astar Network
Astar’s TVL exceeded $1B today, after 2.5 months after launch. It's an amazing milestone for Astar Network and the demonstration that Polkadot and its parachains are attractive to the users.
Astar also got into the TOP 10 in terms of TVL of all EVM chains according to DeFi Llama. The number of transactions on Astar exceeded 1,749,000.
Astar also joined Acala’s aUSD ecosystem fund and started a collaboration with doublejump.tokyo Inc., a blockchain game developer and NFT solution provider.
2. Turing Network won the 30th auction on Kusama
Turing Network secured for themselves the 30th parachain auction on Kusama. In the crowdloan, they raised over 15k KSM from over 1,2k contributors.
Turing Network is the canary network of OAK. Turing Network aims to drive product usage of XCM by providing cross-chain automation for other parachains.
OAK Network recently announced a partnership with Mangata Finance, that will open new possibilities for DeFi like dollar-cost averaging, iceberg orders or execution of strategies based on price and time.
3. Karura secured the second slot for themselves on Kusama
Karura won the 29th parachain auction on Kusama and actually the second slot that Karura has won. This time Karura won it without a crowdloan, but rather by self-funding it with 9K KSM.
This way of self-funding second slot become quite popular because it can save token reserves to be used for some other initiatives, for example, those that help increase activity and adoption on the specific parachain.
4. Acala launched a $250 Million aUSD Ecosystem Fund
According to this article by Dan Reecer, Acala Network, with an initial 9 Polkadot parachain teams and several Venture funds, has launched the $250M aUSD Ecosystem Fund to support early-stage startups building applications with strong stablecoin use cases on any Polkadot or Kusama parachain.
5. Bifrost launched the Collator module
Last week Bifrost launched the Collator module on the mainnet from which the BNC Staking started. There is a list of 16 active collator slots, but Bifrost will gradually release up more slots to the max of 64.
Here is the list of collators involved in the staking, but unfortunately our POLKADOTTERS collator is on the waiting list, so we would appreciate it if you support us that way. Later this week will be the number of active collators extended to 32.
