Polkadot parachain auctions announced
Polkadot council proposed the exact date of the parachain auctions starts. Beginning from November 11th, 2021, the projects will compete in the candle auction to reach the parachain slot on Polkadot, similarly as it happened in recent weeks on Kusama.
Two batches of auctions announced
Similar to Kusama, there will be not just one, but two batches of auctions. The first batch of 5 auctions will take place with 1 new auction every week as we know from Kusama. Later on, the second batch of 6 auctions will take place with 1 new auction every two weeks.
The auction process of the first batch will start on November 11th, 2021. The second batch will take a place around December 17th, 2021, the last 11th auction from the second batch will end on March 10th, 2022. Polkadot parachain slots will be reserved for a total of 96 weeks, opposed to Kusama’s 48 weeks.
Unbond your DOTs
The unbending period is set up for 28 days, so if you stake your DOT tokens and you want to participate in crowdloans, you better unbond them now.
Just for your imagination, here is the list of the most successful crowdloans on Kusama, but without projects who received the parachain slot recently and haven't released their tokens yet.
